What must a GST invoice contain?
Supplier name, address and GSTIN, a consecutive invoice number and date, recipient details, place of supply, HSN/SAC codes, taxable value, GST rate, and the CGST/SGST or IGST amounts. This generator covers all of them.
When is CGST + SGST charged instead of IGST?
If the place of supply is in your own state, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST; across state lines it is charged fully as IGST. The tool applies this automatically from the states you pick - read our CGST vs SGST vs IGST guide for details.
